FAQs

How does Generic Effexor (Venlafaxine) work?

Generic Effexor (Venlafaxine) belongs to the class of Serotonin-Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitors or SNRIs. Serotonin and Norepinephrine are two natural chemicals in the brain, responsible for sending messages from one nerve cell to another. Under normal circumstances, the excess of serotonin and norepinephrine gets reabsorbed by the brain cells, but sometimes the levels of these two chemicals become unbalanced. Generic Effexor (Venlafaxine) blocks this reabsorption and rebalances the two chemicals, relieving the symptoms of depression.
