FAQs

How does Generic Valtrex (Valaciclovir) work?

Generic Valtrex (Valaciclovir) is an antiviral medication used to slow down the growth and spread of the herpes simplex virus in the body. Its active ingredient Valaciclovir is a chemical that attacks viruses and stops them from reproducing. The herpes virus infects previously healthy cells in the body by injecting a small piece of its DNA into the cell. Valaciclovir actively seeks out the herpes virus when ingested and then blocks off the healthy cells from the cells infected with the virus.
